Robyn
Robyn is an accomplished and multi-talented dancer, choreographer, Pilates, and Yoga Instructor. She spent seven years performing as a Magician’s Assistant,traveling the world, molding her body to squeeze into confining, extremely tight spaces, and popping out of boxes in less than 6 seconds with a smirk on her face. Robyn lives a unique lifestyle which is fueled by following her greatest passions while still being authentic to herself.
Robyn received her BFA degree on scholarship, in Dance Performance from University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Robyn’s love of dance has never taken a backseat. Some of her favorite credits include dancing for the 25th anniversary of Dirty Dancing at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood while playing the role of Baby, appearing in Zooey Deschanel‘s music videos, performing with notable dance companies and in short films. Since Robyn had the pleasure of working in the world of live Magic, some of her favorite memories include levitating in the air on the TV show “Bones” as well as in Washington DC’s 4th of July parade along Constitution Avenue for 250,000 people. She was ecstatic to open major-league baseball games with live illusion on the field, Reno casino shows, and perform during halftime performances for the Chicago Bulls and Arizona Cardinals. Robyn has also appeared in multiple seasons on the CW television series “Masters of Illusion” including the show’s worldwide tour.
Robyn began her Pilates training while studying in college for her Mat Certification with AAAI Fitness in Philadelphia. Since 2007 she has been certified through Balanced Body University on all apparatus. In addition, being Pre & Post Natal certified, Robyn had the privilege of studying and working directly under prestigious Physical Therapists while utilizing Pilates, massage release techniques, and other modalities to rehabilitate patients as a former physical therapy aide.
In 2009, Robyn was honored to instruct Michael Jackson's last tour in Pilates in preparation for the King of Pop's "This Is It!". A certified TRX trainer, Robyn was featured in Pilates StyleMagazine for her training and work in the Norwegian system Redcord. You might spot Robyn on TV being featured in a Club Pilates promo commercial as well as designing and instructing home workouts for their “Pilates on Demand” app. Robyn is nationally recognized as a Pilates Method Alliance instructor and in 2015 completed her 300+ hour Yoga Teacher Training at in California.
Robyn is thrilled to have been able to share her passion for movement and baseball by instructing and strengthening The LA Dodgers for 3 seasons. She continues to weave that love and admiration of professional athleticism by currently working as the Pilates instructor for The Cincinnati Reds.
Robyn is thrilled to be able to intertwine her wealth of knowledge, education, witty energy, and unique experience with her clients and is grateful to call The Breathing Room her new home.
