MARISSA

Movement has always been the lens through which Marissa experiences the world. From competitive swimming and soccer, to hiking, climbing, and exploring new places, she believes our mind/body connection is our greatest tool. 

Marissa stumbled into her first yoga class during her freshman year of college and was hooked. Her practice grew as she completed her undergraduate in Psychology in 2015 from University of Cincinnati; then her 200 RYT from Its Yoga Cincinnati in 2016. She came to The Breathing Room as a trade and yoga sub, where she quickly fell in love with Pilates. Marissa is learning all she can about this beautiful practice, and is set to complete her TBR Pilates apprenticeship in March of 2020 lead by Breathing Room’s Meghan Arata and Kari Bollman.

When she’s not on the reformer or her mat, you can find Marissa in the woods with her pup, climbing rocks, and drinking matcha lattes.
