Pilates Classes
Equipment Classes (2 points)
Reformer - As with all reformer classes, all parts of the body will be addressed as the instructor works to reinforce the alignment principles, breathing techniques, and guiding philosophies learned during the introductory series*. The classes challenge balance, coordination, breath work and strength. Expect to move at a brisk pace! Cardio Pilates - Along with Reformer work, this class includes vigorous jumpboard work and springboard squatting. Some abdominal work will be included, but the glutes and legs will be the most wobbly as you walk out the door. A must for the athlete in you. Recommended for either well conditioned newbies or people with 15 mat or equipment classes under their belt.
Sugar and Spice - This class is meant to address both sides of the exercise coin. The first hour is dynamic and challenging pilates equipment work. The next 30 minutes is focused stretching aimed at releasing the deepest muscles of the hips and lower back. This total body makeover addresses the body's need to both strengthen and release. You will walk away feeling tuned up and harmonized. Recommended for all levels.
Springboard - Get re-acquainted with your abs in this equipment class that will challenge your sense of balance, strength, and coordination in a whole new way. Recommended for all levels.
Mat Classes (1 point)
Ballet Barre - This targeted body sculpting workout incorporates pilates, ballet and yoga. Create excellent posture and lean legs while channeling your inner ballet star. All students welcome, and there's no need for ballet shoes or tutus! Recommended for all levels.
Pilates Mat - It's crazy how good your abs will look after 6 weeks regular attendance. This is a total body workout for core strengh and stability. Instruction on form, modifications for beginners, using props for variety and additional challanges. Recommended for all levels.
Yogalates - Power, strength, and flexibility come together to bring the best of both pilates and yoga, creating a dynamic class with all the strength and ab moves you need combined with the stretching, balance, and isometric stress from the ancient tradition of yoga. Recommended for all levels.
Yoga Classes (1 point)
Ashtanga Vinyasa - All levels welcome! This series focuses on setting the strength foundation to safely evolve your yoga practice. The emphasis is on standing postures and balancing movements that serve as a platform for developing your strength. This class teaches modifications for your individual needs and history. It is suitable for beginners, but can challenge the advanced as well.
Beginner's Yoga - Feel like trying this ancient practice? Come join us in a class that is meant to bring people into the world of yoga. With lots of instuction, this class is smaller in size to make sure everyone gets the attention they need to flourish. Recommended for beginners.
Power Yoga - Where strength and stretching combine to give you the workout that you deserve.
Runner's Yoga - Designed with the active runner in mind, this yoga course is meant to combat the natural tendency in runners to lose flexibility. In class we emphasize stretching and strengthening, while improving focus, balance and concentration to help bring each runner to the next level! Suitable for all levels.
Yin Yoga - Learn what the other half of your exercise is. We all need our cardio-challenging, strength developing movements like running, biking, pilates, and vinyasa, but come here to learn the perfect balance to them all. Yin Yoga primarily targets the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin postures are held three to ten minutes at a time. Expect the first half of class to be flowing and warming up the hips, pelvis, and spine and the second half to be focused on just a few poses held at length with deep breathing. Suitable for any level.
Community Classes (Free)
Community Meditation - Explore the world of bliss through guided meditations and breathing exercises. Relaxed poses, deep breathing, and tools to relieve the stresses of everyday life. Please join us- regardless of experience. Suitable for most ages and beginners.
Community Power Yoga - Come experience how challenging movement with just your own body can be! Open to everyone from beginners to advanced.
